About Us
Our mission is to provide educational and therapeutic services that enable any child to thrive.
All Pace School programs embrace this bold mission and are committed to teaching children to break through the social and emotional barriers to school success.
Pace School Programs include:

Pace School is a placement option for school districts in Allegheny and surrounding counties that serves kids, K-9, with emotional challenges or Autism.
Licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the State Board of Private Academic Schools, Pace School is one of 34 Approved Private Schools (APS) in Pennsylvania. APS special education programs were established by statute in 1971 to serve children with the most severe disabilities.
Pace School is licensed to serve students educationally diagnosed in one of three areas:

- Pervasive developmental delay
Each student at Pace School also has at least one mental health diagnoses and is enrolled in Pace’s School Based Partial Hospital Program. The Partial Hospitalization Program is licensed by the Department of Public Welfare and provides intensive psychiatric services to children and families.
Pace Learning Center:
Pace Learning Center is a private academic school option for school districts and families of students grades K-6 who are struggling in their current school placement. This Elementary and Special Education program provides individualized education and behavioral interventions for students with Autism and other developmental or behavioral challenges in a small setting located in Southern Butler County.
Pace School Autism Support Classroom
Located in the Moon Area School District, Pace School operates an intensive classroom for Elementary students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The classroom, located within the Brooks Elementary School provides a local alternative to children who require intensive supports that might otherwise require placement outside the school district.
Extended School Year
Pace School offers a unique alternative to traditional ESY programming for students with emotional disturbance and autism through partnership with Gateway to the Arts. Using art as a context for learning, students are introduced to a wide variety of artistic opportunities using hands-on creative processes that are tailored to maintaining academic and behavioral progress-returning to school ready to learn.
Training and Consultation
Pace School programs believe that sharing our expertise is critical to helping any child to thrive. We offer training programs each year on a variety of topics and to many audiences. We also offer consultation to schools throughout the region.
