The Moon Area School District has taken a local approach to providing intensive special education to students on the Autism spectrum. Located in the J.H. Brooks Elementary School, Pace operates a specialized classroom. Using the most current, research based interventions; Pace is able to provide a high level of intervention for students who would otherwise require an outside placement. These students are provided with an opportunity to attend school locally, engage in some level of school-wide activities including integration into the regular education classroom when possible.

This partnership between Pace and the Moon Area School District has proven to be an effective and efficient solution to serving the growing population of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The community, the students and their families all benefit from this unique program.
