Race & Dog Walk Information
Join the race to help Pace students and families succeed!
Come join the fun at this charity event for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Whether you sign up individually or as a member of a team, your participation benefits vital services and programs for Pace School students.
Start Time: 9:00 a.m.
Where: Pace School, 2432 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh, PA 15221 (Churchill)
Course: Certified 5K course out and back along Greensburg Pike
Awards: $125, $75 and $50 cash prizes for top 3 male & female finishers; $50 Gift Cards for top male &
female Masters (40yr+). Medals for first 3 male & female finishers in each age group.
Special prizes for 1st community finisher, oldest and youngest finishers and 1st Pace student.
Teams: Any combination of 5 or more registered runners, walkers, dogs or donors. All members should pre-register on-line or off-line by the Friday before race day. Awards for Fastest Co-ed team, Closest to predict finish time, and Largest team. No team registrations or additional members can be accepted on race day.
“ChampionChip” timing by Runner’s High. Chip pick-up race day morning only.

Course: Same as 5K only shorter. Begins immediately following start of 5K
Awards: Best costume, largest dog, longest tail, longest ears. Each dog receives a goody bag.
Safety Dogs and handlers will follow Paws course and may not run the 5K
Safety Rules: Limit of 1 dog per handler
All non-aggressive dogs welcome – no other animals permitted
Dogs must wear ID tags and be current on vaccinations
On leash at all times (no retractable leashes)
Dogs “in heat” please at home
Owners must clean up after dogs –Bags provided
For both events:
Entry Fee: $20 adults, $15 youth (15 and under). See registration form for deadlines and late fees.
Includes T-shirt (not guaranteed after pre-registration deadline), goody bag, refreshments and door prize raffles.
Packet Pick-Up & Registration: Friday evening, 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Pace School. Race Day morning, 7:30-8:30 A.M.
