An Integrated Model
Every aspect of the program at Pace School draws on best practices and on a daily basis integrates both educational and mental health services for each child. Pace designs the school calendar, daily schedule, classroom team structure, curriculum and daily procedures to support students emotionally, intellectually and physically.
Services
Students and families benefit from three core components that make up service delivery:
- Education
- Clinical
- Milieu
The aim is to support specific student needs in all of the ways shown in the chart. The "Milieu" is the overlap between education and clinical support where services and resources for students and families come together.
The supports across the model are individualized to each child to maximize achievement potential.
How kids and families benefit from the Pace School model
- Aids life-changing improvements in academic, school survival and life-management skills
- Identifies and coordinates other resources and services to meet family needs
- Returns many students to public school, ready to learn!
- Diverts the child from psychiatric in-patient hospitalizations
