Race For Pace
All of us at Pace School are saddened by the death of Steelers great, Dwight White. For seven years, Pace was fortunate to be included among his extensive community involvement activities.
As honorary chair of the annual Race for Pace, Dwight contributed much more than his name and his fame. Each year, Dwight visited the children at Pace. He shook their hands with his powerful grip, let them try on his Super Bowl ring, posed for pictures, signed autographs and, most importantly, he listened to them.
Dwight was an inspiration to our kids and, through his kind and giving spirit, he leaves behind a legacy in Pittsburgh that is much bigger than football.
